Fujifilm VPB-XT2

The Fujifilm VPB-XT2 Power Booster Grip is a vertical grip designed specifically for the Fujifilm X-T2 mirrorless camera that allows you to increase the number of shots you can take.

In addition to significantly increasing battery life, it offers a replica of the main controls of the X-T2, enhances the camera's performance in several respects and adds a practical 3.5mm headphone jack for audio monitoring. From a construction point of view, the quality is really high, in line with the X-T2 in terms of materials and finish. Thanks to this grip, it is possible to shoot vertically while always having all the essential controls at hand: shutter button, Fn button, Q button, thumb focus lever, front and rear command dials, AE-L and AF-L buttons. All these controls are ergonomically positioned and easily accessible.

The shutter button features a lock that prevents accidental activation when using the camera in a horizontal position, which is particularly useful for those with large hands, as the palm tends to rest on the button itself. Using a dedicated selector, you can choose between Normal mode and Boost mode: the latter uses multiple batteries simultaneously and increases the speed of the X-T2 in several ways. Specifically, Boost mode increases the burst shooting speed from 8 fps to 11 fps, the electronic viewfinder refresh rate from 60 fps to 100 fps, reduces the shooting interval from 190 ms to 170 ms, the shutter lag from 50 ms to 45 ms, the blackout time from 130 ms to 114 ms, and increases the maximum 4K video recording time from 10 minutes to almost 30 minutes.

The VPB-XT2 battery grip can accommodate two additional batteries via a removable hot shoe; please note that batteries are not included. With the grip and two batteries installed on the XT-2, you get approximately 1,000 shots per charge, which is 660 more shots than the camera can normally shoot without the grip.
