Fujinon XF 80 f2.8

This lens has been designed to excel in all conditions. Its Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) system reduces camera shake when shooting handheld, while the weather-resistant design means it can perform in even the most challenging conditions.

New autofocusing system
The XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro provides a fast, accurate and quiet autofocusing performance thanks to the linear motor, but its 0.25m close focusing distance is made possible by a Floating Focus System. This works by splitting the internal elements into two main groups, which are driven independently depending on how close the subject is. The result is a lens which produces superbly detailed images with minimal aberrations.

Weather-resistant design
The XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro has a weather-resistant design to allow users to keep shooting in all conditions. 11 seals positioned at various points throughout the lens’s body keep moisture, dust and temperatures down to -10°C at bay, plus the front and rear elements are treated with a fluorine coating that is both water-repellent and less susceptible to smudges.

Optical image stabilisation
Great close-up images are all about perfect sharpness, which is why the XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro features a powerful Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS). Sensors inside the lens are used to suppress shake and give the equivalent of five stops of compensation, so images that are shake-free at 1/125sec without OIS, should remain shake free at 1/4sec with it on!

Compatible with teleconverters
To make the XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro even more versatile, it is fully compatible with the XF1.4X and XF2X TC WR teleconverters. This boosts the lens’s focal length to a 35mm equivalent of 171mm and 244mm respectively, allowing you to capture impressive close-ups at a greater distance from your subject.
